Transfer Protocol (FTP) has been used for many years to transfer files
between remote computer systems. |

Open Cute FTP. The FTP site manager should open first. Choose Add site. You are now in the Add host dialog. SITE LABEL: InterHost HOST ADDRESS: www.your domain name goes here.co.uk USERNAME: Your username PASSWORD: Your password (remember: Your password is CaSe SeNsItIvE). LOGIN TYPE: Normal TRANSFER TYPE: Auto-detect HOST TYPE: Auto-detect INITIAL REMOTE DIRECTORY: /web (it is important to get this correct. If you are uploading files but they are not being displayed by your browser, check this first) INITIAL LOCAL DIRECTORY: The directory where your web files are kept (i.e. c:\web files) Now click OK. Click Connect. Cute FTP will now connect to your web space. You will see three folders USERS | LOGS | WEB. Double click on the WEB folder. Your local files are in the left pane, just drag them into the right pane and they will upload. Refer to the CUTE FTP help files for more info. NOTE: IMAGES SHOULD BE UPLOADED AS BINARY AND WEB PAGES SHOULD BE UPLOADED AS ASCII. |
